Driving Across Siberia & Eurasia

Across Siberia and Eurasia by Car — 2004

In the summer of 2004, I left Japan in my own car, a used Toyota Caldina that had cost me just ¥90,000 (700USD).
I shipped the car from Japan to Vladivostok and drove west across Russia on the newly connected Trans-Siberian Highway, continuing across Europe.

I spoke no Russian.
I knew very little about cars.
I couldn’t even change a tire.
54 days. 16 countries. One car.
