バックパックを譲る

(English ver is below) 知人の誕生日会とのことでビリヤニハウスへ行ったところ、深夜にライアンというマレーシア人(自分は初対面）がたまたま訪問。これからマレーシア経由でインドへ行くという話だったが、明日の予定を聞くとバックパックを購入しに行くという。日本旅行中に壊れてしまったらしい。
それならばと、倉庫に眠っていた自分のバックパックをプレゼントした。「もし日本に再び来ることがあるなら返して」とは言ったけど。
このバックパックは自分が大学1年の 穂高岳登山(写真）のときに購入したもの。以後、何度かだけ海外旅行に使ったが、最近はこんな大きさのバックパックを必要とする旅はしなくなっていた。たぶん5年以上一度も使っていない。第二の人生を与えることが出来てうれしい。

今回バックパックを開けると中から、ユーラシア横断ドライブの時のナンバープレートが出てきた。今は居間の壁に飾っている。

He told us that he will go to India via Malaysia,but his backpack has broken while he was traveling in Japan. so I gave him my backpack that had been sleeping in the warehouse. I got this backpack when I was a student, to go a climbing Mt Hotaka (it was my first experience climbing high mountains).(photo)
But after this climbing, I used this backpack only few times because I was no longer so much a “violent journey” that requires a big bag. I am glad to have been able to give a second life to the bag. When I opened this backpack, I found a car License plate what used to drive to Europe 10 years ago. Too nostalgic!! Now It is hanging on the wall in the living room.
